Purpose & Use Case
Data Movement provides tools for transferring registered AmSC datasets from IPs to compute facilities.
It includes streaming data transfer from experimental facilities to compute.
Functionality
- Initial API utilizes Globus data transfer between known endpoints
- Globus access token obtained via standard Globus flows
- Token used to instantiate TransferClient
- (tbd) Integration of sub-tokens into AmSC JWT
- (tbd) Support for other transport types & negotiation of appropriate transport mechanism between source and destination

SSO/Multi-modal transfers
SSO integrated to provide authorization for data transfers;
Support alternative third party transfer methods including FermiLab's File Transfer Service (FTS).
