Purpose & Use Case
AmSC Federated ID service is the underlying authentication layer that provides SSO across all AmSC services.
It allows users to authenticate to their home institution, link that home institution to their AmSC account and use it to access AmSC services.
Functionality
For users:
- SSO works under the hood to enable users to access all AmSC services following authentication
For Infrastructure Providers:
- In order to integrate services and/or physical infrastructure into AmSC, IPs will need to adopt the AmSC SSO and auth processes. To learn more about this process, please reach out via your liaison.
Current Status
Service available to AmSC Early Users, and to users of the Model Access Gateway (MAG).
